The Lithuanian Chamber of Agriculture joins the commemoration of January 13 – the Day of the Defenders of Freedom, paying tribute to those who, in 1991, stood up to defend Lithuania’s freedom and independence.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the events of January 13 – an occasion to once again come together, reflect on the importance of unity and civic courage, and respectfully honour those who lost their lives and all who defended the future of the state.
Together with the whole of Lithuania, the Chamber of Agriculture community invites its members, social partners and rural communities to take part in remembrance initiatives, light candles and observe a moment of silence in honour of the Defenders of Freedom, whose sacrifice became the firm foundation of an independent Lithuania.
